{"id":8985,"date":"2017-12-11T09:30:48","date_gmt":"2017-12-11T09:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wordpress-test\/?page_id=8985"},"modified":"2018-01-03T09:09:44","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T09:09:44","slug":"how-to-get-authorised","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/brokersireland.ie\/benefits-of-membership\/how-to-get-authorised\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Get Authorised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Insurance Broker\/Intermediary must be authorised\/registered if they wish to provide advice or information to consumers on retail financial products and\/or arrange or offer to arrange retail financial products for consumers for any of the following classes of insurance business:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General insurance products;<\/li>\n<li>Life assurance products;<\/li>\n<li>Investment &amp; pensions<\/li>\n<li>Health and medical insurance products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Authorisation process is very detailed and can take a substantial amount of time for the process to be completed (a standard application can take at least six months to be processed). The application process takes into account the individual\/s managing and directing the firms\u2019 activities, the nature of the legal entity and the range of regulated activities to be provided.
